This is the story of a Sam, a young boy struggling with the recent death of his father due to cancer. Sam's grandparents decide to take him on a holiday to the popular seaside town Mulloway Bay, where for over a century its iconic lighthouse has kept a careful lookout over the dangerous waters of Spencer Gulf. Staying in one of the original lighthouse cottages with his grandparents, Sam is mysteriously transported back in time at night. He meets and makes friends with the children of a former lighthouse keeper. Sam and his new friends share in a series of adventures. However, Sam is never sure if he is dreaming or if it is real.
